Robert A. Nowotny

Reason for running for office -- Like so many Texans, I'm mad as Hell...

Family History:

Starting in 1854, over five generations of the Nowotny family have lived in and served the Texas Hill Country. Among my ancestors you will find three Sheriffs, two Texas Rangers, a City Marshall and a County Commissioner among a whole host of other worthwhile, rewarding occupations including, I am happy to report, a saloon owner or two.

Primetime Emmy Award --
Academy of Television Arts and Sciences

The Barbara Jordan Award --
For Excellence in Communication on Behalf of the Disabled

Miscellaneous:

When not in production I am also a nationally syndicated movie reviewer.

Prior to 1982, I served as Supervisor of Media Productions and Manager of Instructional Technology for the Region IV Education Service Center which provides services to 54 Texas school districts representing over 1 million students and 83,000 professional educators.

Teaching Experience includes Undergraduate and Graduate courses at The University of Texas at Austin.

I have also held advertising and sales positions for ITT, Armstrong Cork and Mannington Mills.
